コロナ以降、立て続く衝撃的なできごとに、
世間への認識の仕方が変化した。
真偽の見極めにくたびれ果てた末、
事実はひとつとは限らず、世界は多層的であることを受け入れ始めた。
ひとはそれぞれに、異なる世界を見て、異なる現実を生きている。
使用期限を20年経過したモノクロネガフィルムを用い、
古いカメラで日常をスナップし、カフェノール現像した。
今を写したはずの風景は、夢か現実か惑うような、
ここではないどこかを思わせるものだった。
感度も露出も足りないノイズだらけの画像に
時代の気配が現れ出ているように感じた。
現実か否か、本当か嘘かなど、分かりようもない。
確かなのは、私が肌で感じて受け取ったことだけだ。
表に見えているものだけではなく、
その背後や深層にあるものにも感覚を開いていたいと思う。

After the pandemic, we see at society has changed due to devastating incidents constantly occurring.
Having tired of trying to discern the truth, people began to accept the fact that the truth has not just one single meaning and the world is multi-layered.
We human-beings see and live in this world quite differently.
I took snapshots of my surroundings with an old camera with over 20+ year old, expired black-and-white negative film, and printed using the Caffenol process.
The scenery, which was supposed to capture the present, reminded me of somewhere else, as if I was confused whether it was dream or reality.
The images were grainy and under-exposed because the expired film had lost sensitivity.
There is no way to tell if it is real, true or false.
The only thing that is certain is what I feel and my own intuition.
I want to keep my senses open to not only what is visible on the surface, but to what is behind, at a deeper level.
